3M™ 4737S is a 5.1 mil fine line masking tape with a flexible blue vinyl backing and rubber-based adhesive. The vinyl construction allows the tape to conform to curved and contoured surfaces while holding a sharp, clean paint break line — a critical performance requirement in precision finishing environments.
The 1/2 inch width is suited for edge masking, panel separation, and two-tone paint applications on metal and plastic substrates. Transportation OEM assembly, automotive refinishing shops, and general manufacturing operations use this tape wherever a defined, clean paint edge is required on complex or irregular surfaces.
